The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Ministry of Tourism have joined hands for promoting Cinemas of India and the Incredible India campaign at the Cannes Film Festival which commenced on Wednesday. The festival will last till 22nd of this month.

According to an official release, the objective of both the Ministries is to promote destinations via Film Tourism, especially as the Ministry of Tourism is already promoting India as a tourist destination in Cannes Film Festival.

This is being done in the backdrop of film locations playing a critical role in determining tourist traffic from abroad.
