Guwahati : There have been reports of china setting up a new village in Arunachal Pradesh at a time when India and China have been in a military standoff in eastern Ladakh for more than eight months. Even after several rounds of military and diplomatic talks between the two countries, the stalemate has not been resolved so far. The Indian Army source said that China has settled a village within 4.8 km of the Indian border in Arunachal Pradesh after a controversial defeat in the Doklam dispute.

A senior Indian Army official has said that 18 months ago, the Indian Army had reported an intelligence report to the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs to occupy India’s land. The Government had not allowed the Indian Army to take steps against the Chinese government. That is why the Chinese government has gradually occupied the mountainous terrain of Arunachal Pradesh in the north-east and inhabited a lot of people. These people have also been given money by the Chinese government. The entire village has been occupied by the People’s Liberation Army. According to intelligence reports, a senior Indian Army official has said that not one or two of its new villages have been constructed and more than several thousand Chinese people have started bassing in more than 500 houses. The picture of the satellite camera was not able to occupy the entire area.

The area is located in the upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. After the satellite picture of this Chinese village, the inside pictures have now gone viral on social media. These pictures show that wide roads and multi-storey buildings have been constructed in the Chinese village. It is reported that about 122 houses have been constructed in the Chinese village. Chinese people have been relocated to these houses. The Chinese flag has also been planted over the houses. Behind this new dragon move, the Chinese president is facing a devious plan under which 600 villages are being settled. Satellite photographs reveal that China has built its village along the River Tsari Chu in India.

The Indian Army’s intelligence source said that China is occupying the area of Arunachal Pradesh. The Chinese army had also set up a military outpost a few years ago, located at an altitude of about 2700 metres above sea level. He said the Chinese army has now stepped up its activities in the area after the Doklam incident. China had captured the area by removing the Assam Rifles. The area has since been under the control of the Chinese army. Not only that, the Chinese are gradually continuously strengthening their grip on the disputed area. Reacting cautiously to reports of building a Chinese village in Arunachal Pradesh, India said India has intensified construction of infrastructure along the border including roads and bridges to upgrade the livelihood of its citizens. “We have seen recent reports of China doing construction work in the border areas with India,” the external affairs ministry said.

China has conducted such infrastructure construction activities in the last several years. He said, “our government has also intensified the construction of infrastructure on the border, including construction of roads, bridges, etc., which has provided very essential connectivity to the local population living in the border areas. On the other hand, the Arunachal Pradesh Students ‘ Association (APSU) in Upper Subansiri district on the same Chinese village has protested against China’s expansionist move. Has demanded the centre to take appropriate counter-measures against the Chinese and resolve the issue.

The protests said that China has built a new village in Arunachal Pradesh within the Indian territory with about 101 houses. Arunachal Pradesh Students union leader Bagang said that the Chinese claim on our state has given rise to innumerable problems, which is mainly the stand-up visa issue and the Siang River Imbroglio, which is still inconclusive even today despite bringing this issue to the highest level. Bagang said arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India. People staged demonstrations in Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. Holding placards and shouting anti-China slogans, protesters took a rally and burnt effigies of Chinese President Xi Jinping. The protestors have also raised slogans like Bharat Mata Jai, VR Indians ‘ and ‘China go back’. Meanwhile, the Congress MLA from Pasighat, Niong Ering, has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to apprise him about those roads.

At the same time, the letter said that Arunachal Pradesh and the country may face a challenging situation in future. In the meantime, China has reacted to reports that a village was constructed by the Chinese side in Arunachal Pradesh. China’s Foreign Ministry said it is carrying out construction activities “on its land” and it is entirely a matter of its integrity. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying responded to a media question, saying that “China’s position in the eastern sector of the Indo-China border or The Jungnan Province (South Tibet) is firm and clear. We have never recognised the so-called Arunachal Pradesh illegally settled on Chinese land. China describes Arunachal Pradesh as part of South Tibet, while India has always been saying that Arunachal is an integral and monolithic part of it. The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in an updated statement quoting Chunying on its website that “China’s general construction in our own territory is a matter of complete sovereignty.”
