  • India, Bangladesh hold DG level talks between BSF and BGB

    India and Bangladesh held the Director General Level Talks between the Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in Dhaka yesterday.

    The two delegations discussed various issues related to control of fake currency, narcotics trade and cattle smuggling on the India-Bangladesh international border and confidence-building measures between the two forces.

    The BSF delegation was led by Director General BSF Rajni Kant Mishra and the BGB delegation was led by its Director General  Major General Md Shafeenul Islam.

    DG, BSF also called on the Home Minister of Bangladesh Mr. Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

    The ongoing collaboration between the two border guarding forces in curbing illegal activities across the India-Bangladesh international border was discussed during the meeting.

    The issue of capacity building of BGB and other agencies dealing with narcotics control also came up for discussion.
