    India today said that it is ready to resolve all outstanding issues with Pakistan through peaceful dialogue. Speaking at his press conference in the New Year, in New Delhi today the External Affairs Minister Mr. S.M. Krishna, however, reiterated that Pakistan must bring the perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attack to justice expeditiously and fulfil its repeated commitments not to allow the territory under its control to foment terrorism in India. Replying to a question, Mr. Krishna said that his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi had given indication that he would visit India in the first quarter of this year in response to his invitation.

    Mr. Krishna said that it is in the fitness of things for the Foreign Secretaries of the two countries to clear the ground for productive and fruitful discussions at the foreign ministers level.

    He said that the Prime Minister has made it clear that there is no alternative but to engage and keep on talking to Pakistan. He said that the dialogue process will continue as and when Qureshi visits Delhi.
