Indian Railways has opened the booking of all the classes of 230 trains connecting various stations in the country. Bookings can be done through online as well as through railway reservation counters. Railways said that, since yesterday, more than 13 lakh passengers have booked the ticket.

Reservation facility is also available through Common Service Centre, Post office reservation counter, Yatri Ticket Suvidha Kendra and authorised agents of IRCTC. Zonal railways have been asked to follow the standard social distancing guidelines and observe the hygiene protocols in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Ministry said that running of Shramik Special trains will continue to be handled by local State Governments as per the existing protocols.
