In the backdrop of the youth wing of Bhartiya Janta Party deciding to go ahead with its plan to hoist the tricolor at Lal Chowk, Srinagar and State Government’s determination to prevent the Ekta Yatra from entering the State, the BJP on Monday dispatched its top leaders Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj and Ananth Kumar to Jammu to take command of the Party’s programme. The leaders who arrived in a private plane from New Delhi at Jammu Airport were, however, not allowed to move out as the authorities imposed prohibitory orders even as over 1,000 BJP workers had gathered outside Jammu Airport to receive them. While BJP National leaders sat on a dharna inside the Airport, Party workers raised anti-government slogans outside the Airport.
