    Guwahati :  The massive protests that spurred due to the Citizenship Amendment Bill has definitely been able to make the Government take every step amid tight security. Witnessing such agitation, the Assam government is releasing notices one after the other in order to avoid compromise with security. Janata Bhawan’s security has been beefed up due to the ongoing unrest across the state. Seemingly, the government is so terrified that it has issued a notice on the entry of its employees. It may be noted that fearing entry of protestors acting as employees, the government has directed all its employees to wear their identity cards at all times and there has also been notice issued on the dress code of the employees. Further, according to the notice, the main entrance of the secretariat will be closed at 10 AM every day.

Meanwhile Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi has slammed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for registering a Suo Moto case against Dr Hiren Gohain and called it unfortunate. The Congress leader said that BJP is a virus, and will engulf every regional party. BJP has engulfed regional parties of Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Meghalaya, Andhra Pradesh and now Assam, said Gogoi.

    If BJP stays in power, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will destroy the Indian Constitution, added Gogoi. Gogoi also said, it is not the right time for politics. Gogoi urged everyone to come together to oppose the Citizenship (Amendment ) Bill 2016. After the Latasil Police station registered a suo-moto case of Secession against Dr Hiren Gohain, Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) Akhil Gogoi and Manjeet Mahanta for their recent utterance supporting independence from India, under Sections 120(B), 121, 123 and 124(A) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), there has been a massive uproar against the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) government in the state.
