Guwahati : In a shocking incident a woman has been shot dead in Agyathuri near Guwahati. According to reports, two persons on a bike shot the woman, who was in a car, around 7 pm Tuesday. Reportedly, the miscreants fled the scene after committing the crime. The woman has been identified as SBI employee Junu Sharma, who was returning from work in a Hyundai Eon car with the registration number – AS 01AG 6869. Police has detained Sharma’s driver, identified as Pranab Kalita. Police also suspect the involvement of the driver in the incident. The shocking incident has sent a ripple of panic and sensation in the entire area. Police is in search of the two miscreants who shot the woman. Agyathuri’s shooting incident has sent shock throughout the area. The body of the deceased Junu Sharma, who had been shot dead by two miscreants on Tuesday, was kept in Tularam Bafna Civil Hospital’s morgue. The reason behind the murder is yet unknown. On Wednesday morning, the body has been shifted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital for post mortem. The mortal remains of deceased Junu Sarmah has been brought to her resident in Nizarapar, Guwahati after completeing all the formalities of post mortem. The last rites of Sarmah will be carried out at the Navagraha Crematorium. Sarmah has left behind, a husband, daughter and two sons, grieving along with other family members. Although no concrete lead has yet been traced about the murder, the police has been able to find a bullet in the victim’s car with further investigation on.
