  • Justice P.C.Reddi Trust presented Scholarships to 19 Economically Weak and Meritorious Lady Students

    Hyderabad: Justice P.C.Reddi Trust organised a 15th Annual Awards Function here in city on Saturday, 7th March at Ravindra Bharathi .

    Honourable Sri Justice V.Gopala Gowda, Judge, Supreme Court of India and Honourable Sri Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta, Chief Justice of Telangana & A.P High Court inaugurate the Awards Function and graced the same.  Honourable Sri Justice P.C.Reddi, Former Chief Justice of A.P presided over the Ceremony and gave away the scholarships.

    Srikanth of the PC Reddi Trust welcomed the gathering. He informed that Trust will raise scholarship fund from Rs 25000 to 30000 from this year

    Addressing the gathering Justice PC Reddi urged Telangana Government to have reservations for women in EAMCET.

    Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta, Chief Justice of Telangana and AP High Courts said toilets are very important. Adequate toilets must be provided for women at home, community, educational institutions and work places. Speaking further he added that education for women is very important. I have learnt a lot from my mother. She is the first teacher to any one. My mother taught me entire Ramayana he said

    Addressing the gathering Justice V. Gopala Gowda, Judge of Supreme Court congratulated Justice PC Reddi Trust for offering Scholarships to girls for the past one and half decade. Quoting Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, First Prime Minister of independent India, he said ” If you give men education, they alone are educated. But, if you educate a women, whole family and community is educated. Education is the fundamental right of every citizen. If all educated, we can eradicate illiteracy from the society. Education is particularly important for the rural women. Then only rural women are empowered. In conclusion he said, a woman is a mother, Annadata, Superwiser, Manager, Counsellor. she is all in one he said

    The Scholarships were presented to the female students belonging from the rural areas. The students who are from backward families, who could not afford to pay fees for education, are supported financially by providing scholarships said Sri Justice P.C.Reddi

    Some of the recipients of the Scholarships include under the Category Law: K.Swapna and B. Lakshmi Tulasi; Medicine: K.B. Likhitha, C. Jeevana, T. Siva Priya, Alluri Hemangi, K. Geethanjali, S. Padmaja, Shaik Sheefa Sultana; Engineering: S.Sai Manjula, S.Chandrika, Naga Sai Sirisha, G. Nirmala, Shaik Rehana, K. Pedda Reddamma, T. Priyanka; Arts: P.Sirivarna; Sports: N. Aruna; Culture: A.sravanthi Krishna.
