Remembering the great Sanskrit writer Kalidasa on his birth anniversary today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, his creations give a unique knowledge of public service, austerity, sacrifice, Indian philosophy and values of life.

In a tweet , Mr. Modi said that despite being born in a normal family, Kalidasa attained fame and glory and became a scholar through his own efforts and perseverance. He urged people to learn from the life and writings of the great sanskrit scholar.
