Telangana Rastra Samithi President K Chandrasekhar Rao has appointed his son, K Taraka Ramarao as party Working President.

He is representing Sircilla Assembly Constituency. Ramarao was formerly State IT, Urban Development and Panchayat  Raj Minister.

The party made this announcement on Friday morning in Hyderabad.

The appointment gained significance in the wake of the ongoing exercise of formulating a full-fledged state cabinet.

Mr Rao took over as the Chief Minister for the second time and gave the responsibility of the Home Ministry to Mohammad Mahamood Ali who took oath along with him.

Party senior leaders informed that Mr Rao wanted to entrust the work of strengthening the TRS to someone he trusts most, as he wanted to focus more on national politics. It may be recalled that Mr Rao has been advocating the need for establishing a national alliance by bringing anti-Congress and anti-BJP forces together.
