Kerala Govt orders vigilance probe against K G Balakrishnan’s son in law

Kerala government has ordered vigilance probe against Mr. Srinijan, the son in law of Justice K G Balakrishnan , former Chief Justice of India.
Based on several complaints about amasing of huge wealth disproportionate to his known income by Srinijan, Chief MInister V S Achuthanandan has directed Home Minister to carry out the vigilance enquiry.
Recently allegations of corruption charges against close relatives of Justice Balakrishnan has been levelled from many quarters.
Former Supreme Court Judge Justice Krishna Iyer has also demanded that Justice Balakrishnan should step down from the post of Chairman, National Human Rights Commission. However, Justice Balakrishan has not responded to these allegations so far.
