Senior Indian Information Service officer, KS Dhatwalia, has been appointed as the Principal Director General of Press Information Bureau.

Mr. Dhatwalia, who will succeed Sitanshu Kar, will be the 28th Principal Spokesperson of the government. He will continue to hold the additional charge of Director General, Indian Institute of Mass Communication.

KS Dhatwalia has worked in key positions in various Media Units of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Principal Director General, News Services Division of All India Radio, Ira Joshi has been given additional charge of Publications Division.

Satyendra Prakash, Director General, Bureau of Outreach and Communication, has been given additional charge of Press Registrar, RNI.
