Land pattas distributed to forest dwellers

Kokrajhar : A total 1600 Forest Dwellers families were distributed land certificate of title under Forest Rights Act-2006 at a ceremonial programme held at Aodang Baza under Haltugaon forest division in Kokrajhar district.
Assam Soil Conservation and Social Welfare Minister Pramila Rani Brahma attended the programme and handed 
over land pattas to Forest Dwellers beneficeries.
Organised by Integrated Tribal Development Project(ITDP), Kokrajhar, total 1600 forest dwellers beneficiaries, covering total 5081 bighas land were ceremonially distributed the certificate of title to the claimants.
BTC executive member Doneswar Goyary, Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Partha Pratim Mazumdar, Kokrajhar Revenue Circe Officer Dipan Barman were also witnessed land pattas distribution ceremony.
In her speech, Minister Pramia Rani Brahma advised the beneficiaries to plant minimum 50 saplings in the respective areas.
