Meeting of BJP’s Central Office Bearers begins in Goa as the two day National Executive Meeting of the party will begin from tomorrow.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s role in the next Lok Sabha elections is expected to be the dominant theme of National Executive meeting.

Ahead of the national executive meeting, a meeting of national office bearers is being held today at which the national executive meeting’s agenda will be decided.

The meeting is being held in the backdrop of reports of a division among top leaders over Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s appointment as the Party’s poll panel chief.

Senior leader LK Advani is reported to be against the move.

Meanwhile, BJP President Rajnath Singh said that party senior leader LK Advani will not attend today’s meeting as he is not well.

He also said that he will be attending the meeting tomorrow.

Ahead of the BJP National Executive Meet, Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parikkar came out strongly in support of Narendra Modi.

He said Modi should lead BJP’s election campaign.

Meanwhile, Congress Leader Rashid Alvi said leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party was an internal matter of that party.

He however added that people did not like a communal person as their leader in a secular country.
