Haflong  : To reach out the people of remotest area of Dima Hasao the District Health Society and Langting Block Primary Health Centre (PHC) in association of 11 Assam Riffle organised a Mega Health Mela at Birangana Jaya Thaosen Memorial Dimasa Saraswati Vidya Mandir at Hajadisa about 50 km from Maibang on Tuesday.

Samuel Changsan, Executive Member, N C Hills Autonomous Council in charge Medial inaugurated the Mela as the chief guest while Projit Hojai, MAC, NCHAC inaugurated the Deworming campaign.

Doctors from Haflong and Langting attended the Mela and as many as 257 patients were treated and provided with free medicines.

EM Samuel appreciating the team of doctors and medical staffs for their tiring efforts to provide Medicare to this  interior place of Langting – Dibu area and appealed to the people of the area to avail this opportunities of government to the fullest term. He also thanked all the people including security personals for their help to organise such big health mela for the benefit of the rural people.
