New DC takes charge in Assam’s Darrang district

Mangaldai : Joint Secretary of Industries and Commerce Department , Govt of Assam and Managing Director of Assam Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC) Ghanashyam Dass -an Assam cadre IAS officer of 2012 batch on Monday has taken over charge as the 26th Deputy Commissioner of Darrang district. Outgoing Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Barman extended a hearty welcome to him and handed over the charge in the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner. Ashok Kumar Barman will now join as the Additional Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Management where prior to joining in Darrang district he had served for quite a long tenure of nearly ten years as Deputy Secretary and Joint Secretary.
