Kokrajhar : Police have last evening arrested one person in connection with the killing of a woman at Ramfalbil area under Serfanguri police station in Kokrajhar district.

The accused person identified as Hathorki Narzary had on the night of December 31 last killed the married woman, a mother of three young children and later dumped the body at a paddy field.

Some local people notice the body the next morning and informed the police regarding the dead body of the woman lying in the paddy field.

Kokrajhar deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Prakash Medhi said the accused have confessed on committing the crime. He said the accused first killed the woman and later dumped the body near a paddy field.
