Haflong  : Aiming at the forth coming elections, the Asom Gana Parishad organised one day convention at Cultural Institute Hall on Tuesday.

The convention was attended by Minister Atul Bora, , Minister Keshab Mahanta, , Minister Phani Bushan Chowdhury, former Chief Minister,Praffula Kumar Mahanta etc and others from AGP central Committee and also the Dima Hasao District Committee.

The convention was presided over by Atul Bora, President, AGP Central Committee.

All the speakers appealed to the people of Dima Hasao for the overall development of the district they should bring AGP government in N C Hills Autonomous Council in the next election. AGP being the regional always works for the people.

Laksham Chetri , organising secretary explain the aims and objective of the convention. Earlier all the AGP central leaders and district leaders were felicitated with traditional gamosa by the members of Dima Hasao AGP.

Talking to the media AGP leaders said alliance in NCHAC election is to be decided by the District AGP leaders only and nothing could be said right now since the election to NCHAC is postponed.
