Mangaldai  : Just within a day of Darrang SP, Sreejith T’s assurance before media, Darrang police on Sunday evening has nabbed one Billal Ali (20) S/O. Mantaz Ali, a resident of Paniakhat village in connection with the sensational incident of miscreants attack on the inmates Dhula based Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya. The accused Billal has been booked in the Dhula PS case no. 419/18 u/s 448/363/511/34 IPC, informed a senior Darrang police official. In the preliminary police interrogation the accused whose residence close to the school campus has confessed his involvement in the incident of Sept 16 night,the source added. The police has been continuing its search operation for the the other associates of Billal.
