  • Pak troops open fire at Indian posts in Poonch district

    PoonchIn yet another incident of ceasefire violation, Pakistani troops opened fire at Indian posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

    According to Defence PRO Col R K Palta , the Pakistani troops opened small arms firing at Indian posts in forward area along LoC in Poonch district at 2230 hours Monday night.

    The Pakistani troops also fired Pika rifle rounds. Indian troops guarding the border retaliated, resulting in exchange of fire which continued for 20 minutes.

    However, there was no loss of life or injury to anyone in the firing on this side. This is the fourth ceasefire violation this month.
