US Vice President Joe Biden today discussed a host of issues with the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh in New Delhi today. The two leaders held discussions to enhance relations in the areas of security, defence, energy and climate change.

Later, the visiting dignitary also discussed issues of mutual interest with President Pranab Mukherjee at a meeting held in the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Biden began his official engagements by holding a meeting with Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari in New Delhi this morning.

They exchanged views on the issues of international and regional importance. Later, the US Vice President also met Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha this afternoon.

The US President , will leave for Mumbai Tuesday evening to hold discussions with the business leaders.

Biden arrived on a four-day trip to India Monday. This is his first visit to India since assuming the office of the Vice President.
