Prime Minister Narendra Modi will receive the United Nation’s highest environment honour ‘Champions of The Earth Award’ in New Delhi tomorrow. Mr Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron were selected for the award for their exemplary leadership and advocate action on sustainable development and climate change.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will present the award to Mr Modi at Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra in New Delhi. Briefing media, Secretary (Economic Relations) in the External Affairs Ministry, TS Tirumurti said, the award is being given to Mr Modi in the policy leadership category.
