President’s rule will come into force in Jammu And Kashmir from midnight tonight.

Earlier, Union Cabinet has given its go-ahead for President’s Rule beyond 19th of December on expiry of six-months of Governor’s rule.

Governor’s rule was imposed in the Jammu and Kashmir after the state plunged into political turmoil following BJP withdrawal of its support to the PDP-BJP ruling coalition, reducing PDP to minority.
