President Ramnath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have saluted the CRPF on Shaurya Diwas today. The President remembered the brave personnel of CRPF who ed history in Gujarat’s Sardar Patel Post in 1965. In a tweet, Mr Kovind congratulated CRPF on the occasion and paid tributes to the martyrs.

In a tweet, Mr Modi said the sacrifices of the brave martyrs in Gujarat’s Sardar Patel Post will never be forgotten. He added that the courage of CRPF is widely known.

Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted that a small contingent of the CRPF created history by defeating the invading enemy army several times larger than them on this day in 1965 at the ‘Sardar Post’ located in Rann, Kutch, Gujarat. He congratulated  the force and saluted the brave martyrs of CRPF. He said,  ‘Shaurya Divas’, is a symbol of indomitable courage, valor and sacrifice.
