    Published on November 21, 2011

Price rise, black money and corruption are likely to dominate the discussions in the winter session of Parliament beginning tomorrow. The Government plans to take up thirty-one bills for discussion and passage and the opposition are gearing up to bring an adjournment motion on price rise.

AIR Correspondent reports that political parties are giving final touches to their strategy for the session today which has a heavy government business on agenda.

Government has sought help from the opposition in carrying out the legislative business.

The much talked about Lokpal Bill and National Food Security bill are among the important legislations to be taken up during the month long session.

It is expected to be a stormy one with Opposition training its guns on issues of public concern.

Government on the other hand is keen to see its business through in the two houses as it is armed with a series of measures taken to effectively deal with the menace of corruption. This will help in blunting the Opposition’s attack.

UPA led government has prepared a five fold strategy to tackle corruption at all levels.

Petrol prices were also slashed recently to reduce the burden on common man despite high international crude oil prices. Be that as it may Parliament is and institution of debates and discussion and it is hoped that important legislative business will be conducted in the two houses.
