Guwahati : 5 years ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today again performed Bhoomi Pujan through a video conference in the wake of the upcoming Assam assembly elections, which was laid by Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone of a four-lane bridge over the Brahmaputra between Dhubri (north coast) and Fulbari (south coast) on Thursday.

In addition, he laid the foundation stone of Dhubri Phulbari Bridge and also worshipped Bhojan for the construction of majuli (Majuli Assam Chief Minister’s constituency) bridge in the world. Meanwhile, he said that connectivity on the Brahmaputra was not the same. Due to this, connectivity in Assam and north East remained a challenge. The proposed bridge will be located on NH-127B, which originates from Srirampur on NH-27 (East-West Corridor), and ends at Nongstoine on NH-106 in the state of Meghalaya. In the meantime, he said that connectivity on the Brahmaputra was not done earlier. Due to this, connectivity challenge continued in Assam and north-east.

The Great Great Great Grand Brahmaputra is now working fast in this direction. ‘Development in Assam due to double engine government’ “Over the years, the centre and the double engine government of Assam have tried to reduce both geographical and cultural distances of the entire region. In the last few years, the physical and cultural inaction of the North-East, including Assam, has been strengthened. He said, “Assam Majuli has also become the first helipad in the Chief Minister’s constituency of Assam. Now religious people are going to get the option of a fast and safe road. Your years old demand has started today with Bhoomi Pujan of the bridge,” he said. Prime Minister Modi said that the number of connectivity related works on the Brahmaputra should have been done earlier. Due to this, connectivity in Assam and North East remained a challenge. With the blessings of the Maha arm Brahmaputra, it is now working fast in this direction. The Prime Minister also said that over the years, the centre and the double engine government of Assam have tried to reduce both geographical and cultural distances of the entire region.

The physical and cultural integrity of the entire North East, including Assam, has been empowered over the years. On the Dhubri Fulbari Bridge, PM Modi said that the distance between Assam and Meghalaya is about 250 kms by road. In future, it will be only 19-20 kilometres. The bridge will also prove to be important for international traffic to other countries. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said that the years old demand of the Assamese has begun to be completed today with the Bhojan puja of the bridge. The 8 km bridge connecting Kalibari Ghat to Jorhat will become the lifeline of thousands of families of Majuli. This bridge is going to be a bridge of convenience and possibilities for you. Distance between Dhubri and Phulbari will be reduced by 203 kilometres: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said the demand for a bridge over the Brahmaputra River is 10 years old. With this, the distance between Dhubri and Phulbari will be reduced by 203 kilometres.

Through this bridge, Assam and Meghalaya will be connected directly to West Bengal. The construction of a 55 km long road from Serampur in West Bengal to Dhubri in Assam will commence from this October. The bridge will reduce the distance for travel to Bhutan and Bangladesh and save time. Mention that any social organizations, including the opposition Congress party, have accused the BJP and the prime minister that it is a matter of great mystery that in view of the forthcoming Assam assembly elections to mislead the people, the government wants to seek votes from the public by lying for the same time.

Majuli people have not yet been able to rely on the work of Prime Minister and Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. Because Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the completion of the bridge within 1 year to connect the chief minister constituency of Majuli Assam, the world’s largest river island, to the world. In 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured the Majuli people that if the BJP government is formed in Assam, the major bridge will be constructed within 1 year. But it has been 5 years, not only did the construction of the bridge not start, but the DPI was also not ready. Mahabahu-Brahmaputra scheme aimed at connectivity in Assam The people of Assam have started doubting the government that the foundation stone of the said bridge has been laid again today, it will not be a bridge, there may also be a false promise for the upcoming assembly elections.
