Rain brought much needed relief to the people from scorching heat in several parts of the country.

Early morning rain lashed the national capital bringing relief to the people from the sweltering heat today. Met department has forecast thunderstorm with rain during the day as well.

In Uttar Pradesh, two persons were killed in rain-related incidents in Jaunpur, while nearly half a dozen people were injured as stormy weather prevailed in the district.

Rain occurred in parts of Telangana bringing down the mercury. Rainfall also occurred in parts of Karnataka, Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

In Odisha too, rains brought respite from the blistering heat.
