Mangaldai : Satinath Baral (41),a yoga ‘Guru’ of Patanjali  a resident of Purulia District of West Bengal, who passed derogatory comment on Srimanta Sankardev and Vaishnavite culture of Assam while attending a free Yoga Camp organised by Patanjali Yoga Committee at village Bherua under Sipajhar PS in Darrang District in between Sept 25 & 29 resulting wide spread reaction across the State has been arrested by a team of Darrang Police on Thursday in Howrah area of Kolkata in connection with the Case (No. 720 /2018 U/S 109/153(a)/295 (a) /298 of IPC) . He was brought to Mangaldai in the afternoon and later produced before court.  Three other cases have also been registered in Mangaldai PS against him by various public organisations.Earlier police arrested Prahlad Das, the chief organiser of the yoga camp and later released on bail. This was informed before media by SP, Darrang Sreejith T. at his office on Thursday afternoon. The SP further stated that police got sufficient support from Patanjali authority in search and arrest of Baral.
