Haflong: The oath taking ceremony of the two nominated MAC (Member of autonomous council) Liton  Chakraborty and Issory Prasad Joishi, was held at the DC conference hall at 2:00 P.M yesterday in presence of NCHAC, CEM Debolal Gorlosa and Chairperson Ranu Langthasa.

The oath was administered by the Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao, Amitabh Rajkhowa. It is to be mentioned that out of the thirty members of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council, two are nominated and rests twenty eight are elected.

The nomination notification was issued by the government vide letter No. HAD.116/2012/16 on 21-12-2019. Others present during the ceremony were Executive Members, Members of Autonomous Council, party president Donphainon Thaosen, Principal Secretary (N), Mukut Kemprai, other council secretaries and well wishers.
