Target of PMAY to be achieved well before 2022: Hardeep Singh Puri

Government today said that the target of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will be achieved well before 2022, its scheduled time.
Replying to a question in Lok Sabha, Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri today informed that 62 lakh houses have been grounded and 32 lakhs handed over to the beneficiaries while 6.7 lakh more houses are approved by the ministry. He said, before 2022 all homes will be given to the beneficiaries under the scheme.
