  • There is no substitute for hardwork CV Anand, Police Commissioner of Cyberabad told kids

    Hyderabad : 3100 kids in the age group of 4 to 12years arrived in city today to compete in a National Level Competiton—10th National Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition.  A competition which is featured four times CV Anand and Mr. Kelvin Tham seen releaseing the Question Paper of National Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competitionin Limca Book of Records witnessed participants coming from 20 states from across India.  They competed in 16 different categories (including AMAL & SIP Abacus 12 Levels).  Mr. CV Anand, Commissioner of Police Cyberabad was the Chief Guest and  Inaugurated the competition.

    While addressing them after inaugurating he said there is no substitute for hardwork.  I was too good in mathematics. But, after seeing your performance, I know now that I am way behind you, he told children.  Speaking further he said if you are good at Mathematics, you can crack any Competitive Exams.  It is amazing to see 3100 kids of 4 to 12 years competiting without any fear on this national platform. I am impressed.  It will leave long lasting impression on me for time to come.  It is first time in my life I have ever addressed the biggest gathering of 3100 kids in the age group of 4 to 12 years from 20 states of the country he said and congratulated SIP Academy for the wonderful Competition.

    India is strong in Traditional Mathematics.  Practice is the best them and makes every  one perfect not only in Mathematics but in every field, he said. Quoting from a book which he read earlier, CV Anand said if you practice ten thousand times, you will be the best in the world.  I tell the same to my son as well he said.  It is a great occasion for Cyberabad and Hyderabad to host this event he said.

    These children competed to do 120+80+80 mathematical sums in just under ‘5+3+3 minutes(depending on different levels). They are very young and are the fastest human calculators.  And Mr. CV Anand was amazed to seem their speed.

    It is ‘The’ competition tiny tots look for every year.  Among other who graced the event include Mr. Kelvin Tham, Founder of SIP Academy Malaysia and Mr. Dinesh Victor, Managing Director of SIP Academy Pvt Ltd, Anajali Razdan, Principal of Euro School, Mrs. Jayashree Rao of Pallavi Model School.

    A film on National Integration was screened. Children made to take a national integration pledge.

    Organized by SIP Academy India, the Indian arm of SIP Academy (Malaysia) SDN. BHD, Hyderabad has been the host of the event three times in the past.

    Mr. Kelvin Tham, Founder of SIP and also the President of Asian Mental Research Association and President of Abacus Arithmetic and Development adds that technology is becoming a major part of innovation in our lives. It is an opportunity to display their mental capabilities in such a highly contested and enjoyable event. He congratulated SIP India for organizing competition at such a massive scale.
