Haflong : As it is expected that the restoration work would continue till 16 July, the train services on Lumding Badarpur hill section likely to resume after July 16.
The tran communication between Lumding-Badarpur hills section of N F Railway was disrupted as the railway track was severely affected due to heavy rain at km 110/4-5 between Jatinga Lumpur New Harangajao stations in Lumding Badarpur hill section under Lumding Division of N.F. Railway . The settlement occurred at about 09-30 am yesterday making it unsuitable for train movement. The repairing work has already started on war footing and senior railway officers are camping at site monitoring the restoration work. But heavy rain is continuing in that area making the soil loose and expected that the restoration work would continue till 16 July.
As a result, many trains are either cancelled or short terminated as follows.
terminated at Lumding and will remain partially cancelled between Lumcing to Silchar. 13174 DN Silchar Sealdah Kanchanjunjha Express will originate from Lumding towards Sealdah on 14.07.19 as per time table timings.
12.12516 Silchar Trivandrum Express of 16.07.19 will remain peartially cancelled between Silchar to Guwahati and originate from Guwahati on 17.07.19 as per time table timings.
13.12503 UP Bangalore Cantt Agartala HUMSAFAR express which left Bangalore on 12.07.19 will be short terminated at Kamakhya Jn and will remain partially cancel between Kamakhya to Agartala.
12504 DN Agartala -Bangalore Cantt HUMSAFAR Express will originate from Kamakhya towards Bangalore Cantt on 16.07.19 as per time table timings and will remain partially cancelled between Agartala to Kamakhya.
15.15601 DN Silchar New Delhi Poorvattar Sampark Kranti Express of 15.07.19 will remain partially cancelled between Silchar Guwahati and originate from Guwahati on 15.07.19 as per time table timings.
Announcements are being made regularly in major stations to make passenger aware about
cancellations and short terminations, Pranav Jyoti Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer, informed.
