Kokrajhar: With the objectives to trained farmers on Agricultural Marketing, a training program on ‘Marketing of species’ was held at Kokrajhar College Auditorium with a three days programme beginning today.

Organised by Farmer’s Agri Business Consortium, the programme is funded and supported National Institute of Agriculture Marketing (NIAM), Jaipur Rajasthan .

BTC executive member department of Agriculture Ansumwi Khunggur Boro inaugurated the training programme where over 50 farmers from various art of Kokrajhar and adjoining area participated.

Director of Agriculture department, BTC MM Swargoyary, senior manager of Sheel Biotech Limited, New Delhi Subodh Panwar, Manager of Farmer’s Agri Business Consortium SK Das and others were present on the occasion.

BTC executive member department of Agriculture Ansumwi Khunggur said the BTC has accorded priority to the agriculture sector and the department has been giving emphasis on improvement of markets and agriculture business and boosting technology for modern method of cultivation. He said BTC will take up more programmes for the benefit of farmers in the four district of Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri under the BTC.
