A two-day meet of BJP women workers and leaders begins today at Adalaj villege near Gandhinagar in Gujarat to discuss a host of issues, including women empowerment. Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman inaugurated the meeting at Trimandir, Adalaj village.

While talking with media, Nirmala Sitaraman said that BJP always honoured women and made all effort to empower them.

Women workers and leaders from various states and union territories are participating in the Rastriya Mahila Adiveshan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the closing ceremony tomorrow. Union Minister Smriti Irani and other BJP leaders are expected to participate in the convention.
