Union cabinet approves cadre review of ITBP

The Union Cabinet has approved cadre review of Group A General Duty (Executive) Cadre and Non-Gazetted cadre of Indo-Tibetan Border Police, ITBP.
It has also decided to create two new Commands (Western Command at Chandigarh and Eastern Command at Guwahati) to be headed by Additional Director General and assisted by Inspector General.
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said, after the creation of these Group A posts in ITBP, the supervisory efficiency and capacity building of the Force will be enhanced.
