  • UP sets example to country by successfully controlling vector borne diseases JE & AESL: CM Yogi Adityanath

    Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that state has set an example to the country and the whole world by successfully controlling the vector borne diseases Japanese encephalitis and Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES).
     
    Chief Minister said that the strategy applied against the communicable diseases in last three years by his government has been exceptionally successful.
     
    In 2016 the deaths due to Japanese encephalitis and Accute encephalitis were 466 while this year only 7 children died due to these diseases.
     
    State government was already carrying out a massive campaign against vector-borne diseases and had announced that the coming month of October would be totally devoted to it.
     
    The communicable diseases control programme would start from October 1 and continue till October 31 while a fortnight-long Dastak Programme would also start from October 1.
     
    A campaign will also be launched in state for the vaccination of those children who missed their immunisation schedule due to Corona Pandemic.
     
    Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked officials to identify those children who missed their vaccination schedule due to corona pandemic and get their immunization done on priority basis.
