  • Uttar Pradesh: Government decides to constitute board to discuss issues related to GST

    In Uttar Pradesh, State government has decided to constitute a board comprising members from the business community and government officials to discuss issues related to GST. The decision was taken in a state cabinet meeting in Lucknow headed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

    Speaking about the decision, spokesperson of the government Sidharth Nath Singh told media persons that the board will be named as Uttar Pradesh Vyapari Kalyan Board and Chief Minister will be its president.

    It will have 3 vice presidents, 11 non-government members and 9 ministerial members all nominated by Chief Minister. The board will hold meetings in every three months to comprise the government about the problems and suggestions regarding GST.

    In another major decision taken by the cabinet, today Government has decided to give extraordinary pension to the police personnel who fall into a coma in the line of duty. Sidharth Nath Singh said that now those who fell into a coma due to injury during the encounter will be eligible for full salary till retirement.

    In another important decision, the government has decided to constitute Poorvanchal Vikas Board and Bundelkhand Vikas board for the development of the eastern part and Bundelkhand region of the state respectively.
