The West Bengal Chief Minister Ms. Mamata Banerjee has ruled out any division in the state to create a separate state in Darjeeling hills.

Talking to newsmen in Kolkata this afternoon Ms. Banerjee categorically said that Darjeeling is an integral part of the state and will continue to remain same in future.

The Chief Minister firmly said that any attempt to disturb peace in the region will be dealt firmly and said that center has also responsibility to see that peace is not disturbed in Darjeeling.

Meanwhile, opposition Left Front has demanded an all party meeting to discuss the Darjeeling situation.
