    Guwahati :The awareness campaign, “Jono Jagaron” has been launched in every district with special focus on the vulnerable section including the elderly, people with comorbidities, children below the age of 10 and pregnant women.Women are playing a vital role in Covid precaution awareness in societal ecosystem. Guwahati on the topic ;Women role in Covid precaution awareness; here today. Experts from Industry fraternity along with academicians deliberated and discussed about the Covid precaution awareness from academic and policy perspective.

    Ms Selina Mitra, Entrepreneur said that in societal ecosystem and family value-system, women and particularly the mothers, have a very important role in Covid awareness. She said that mother is an important decision makers in family value-system and play the pivotal role in educating their children about the does and don’t for Covid precaution. She said that in workplaces too, the role of woman in information and knowledge management is another evolving arena where women are drivers of communication. She said that disciplined women acts as a catalytic ambassador of information communication and dissemination in this trying Covid scenario.

    Being an entrepreneur, she opined that a women play a quintessential role in motivating other about the successful ways to tackle this Covid scenario with a constructive and change in behavioural attitude. Abdur Rahman Mallick, Advocate Delhi High Court said that importance of social media and awareness among youth could be bolstered with continual information endeavours for communication in other awareness medium.Dr Sanjukta Kar, Nutritionist said that growing importance of communication and precaution awareness to tackle Covid is experienced in various quarters. She said that whether it is workplace or family, women have to be provided the atmosphere to explain their issues and to develop Strategies and Human Resources policies and decision in line with welfare of all employees including women who are an important component in the economic development and growth of organisations, society and country. She said that communication strategy to tackle health issues has to be informational, educational and communication driven.

    She further said that growing importance of information on health communication management is leading to WIN-WIN scenarios for all in value add-on process of development of the country. Ms Sayantani Sinha, Psychologist and Clinical Hypnotherapist said that various Covid issues are psychological and could be tackled with an optimistic behaviour. She said that there are many scenarios were children are stressed and this has led to increase in number of psychological and medical issues. In this parlance, she said women have a huge role and particularly, mothers have to listen to their children problems patiently and try to arrive in some solution which does not aggravate the situation. The informative and knowledge webinar was planned and coordinated by Shri Samrat Bandyopadhyay, Joint Director (M & C), PIB, Guwahati. Senior officers of PIB were present in webinar.

    Shri Pallav Chakravorty, Deputy Director, PIB welcomed the experts as the webinar delved into details on the various aspects of the topic such as Covid information management including in the arena of health, socio-economic, growth and development, among others. The interactive Webinar has enthusiastic participation of students, academicians and industrial fraternity of Assam as they said that this information cum knowledge Webinar would help them in informed decision making and to be aware about the Covid precaution. Along with students, eminent journalists and other government senior officials from Doordarshan Guwahati, Regional Outreach Bureau, Guwahati, All India Radio Guwahati were also present on the occasion.
