Guwahati : A day long workshop on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” was held at Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology situated at Dekargaon, Tezpur on 12th September, 2019. The workshop was organised by Assam Science and Technology University in collaboration with the Department of Civil Engineering, GIMT-Tezpur under the aegis of TEQIP III. The workshop was inaugurated by renowned career counsellor of the state and the Principal of GIMT Tezpur, Dr. Buljit Buragohain by lighting of lamps. Renowned innovator of the state, Padma Shri Dr. Uddhab Kumar Bharali was the main attraction of the workshop who shared with the students many important insights on how an idea can be converted into a commercially viable product. Another resource person for the event was young writer and entrepreneur, Pushpanjalee Dutta Das who shared knowledge about how to be an entrepreneur. The event was very informative and the students were highly benefitted from the sessions.
