    Guwahati: Ahead of the Assembly elections in Karnataka, the Bharatiya Janata Party has started a big game. Former Assam Youth Congress president Ankita Dutta has lodged an FIR against Karnataka Youth Congress national president Srinivas at Dispur police station alleging sexual harassment.

    The entire case has been handed over to the CID of Assam Police. Based on this, the CID has expressed the possibility of arresting Youth Congress national president Srinivas soon. Angkita Dutta accused the organisation’s national president Srinivas B V and general secretary Vardhan Yadav of harassment. Dutta claims that she has complained to the central leadership several times about Srinivas, but no action has been taken. Dutta was the first to post a series of tweets calling Srinivas a conservative. In which he wrote that I am a female leader.

    If I go through such harassment, how can I encourage other women to get involved?Angkita Dutta also alleged that being a woman, she was discriminated against on the basis of gender for six months. She has also told Rahul Gandhi about this, but no action was taken on her behalf. She said she joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra in January when she was in Jammu. He met Rahul Gandhi and talked about Srinivas’ mental harassment and abusive language. He further said that even after so many complaints of mine, the high command did not initiate any inquiry.

    I have been silent for months and waiting for action against them, yet no one takes interest. Srinivas is avoiding all kinds of wrongdoings under the guise of his PR. Dutta said That Vardhan Yadav also talks like him. They always call her ‘Hey girl’. At the same time, during an event in Raipur, Srinivas met him and asked if he talked after drinking vodka. I made several complaints against both of them. Vardhan Yadav accused me of colluding with Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma.Meanwhile, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) suspended the state unit’s Congress youth president Angkita Dutta from the primary membership of the party on April 21. The Assam Pradesh Congress alleged that Ankita Dutta was doing this work as per the instructions of the BJP and the RSS.

    The APCC has ordered his suspension for not responding to the show-cause notice issued to him. However, Ankita Dutta said that she had replied to the show cause notice, but she did not receive any other message. A show-cause notice has been issued to Ankita Dutta. Bora further said that the allegations levelled by Angkita against Srinivas Bv are defamatory and tarnish the image of the Congress party, which led to the expulsion of Ankita Dutta. The decision comes after Angkita filed a complaint against Indian Youth Congress (IYC) chief Srinivas Bv, accusing him of mental harassment, physical harassment and using abusive language against him.On the other hand, Ankita’s complaint, lodged at Dispur police station on April 19, has left the Congress party in shock.

    The serious allegations levelled by Ankita Dutta on Srinivas have raised concerns about the treatment of women leaders within the party and the inner workings of the Congress. According to Angkita’s complaint, Srinivas has been mentally harassing her for the past six months and making lewd remarks against her. He further claimed that he used derogatory language and threatened him with dire consequences if he continued to complain about him to the higher party officials. Youth Congress national president Srinivas B V has issued a legal notice to Assam unit chief Ankita Dutta. Srinivas said in the notice that Dutta was defaming him in preparation to quit the Congress and join the BJP so that the cases against him could be closed.
