Guwahati : In an unfortunate incident, five members of a family lost their lives after a massive fire broke out in a residence in Assam’s Dibrugarh town on Saturday, October 19. The deceased has been identified as Bishal Sonar, Maya Devi, Shivu Sonar, Shankar Sonar and Nunu. The reason of the fire is yet to be known and the locals are alleging that cylinders in the house blasted following which the fire spread rapidly to nearby houses. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal expressive grief over the incident and announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 4 lakh for each of the deceased family member.
