New Delhi: has expressed serious concerns over Islamabad diverting arms supplied by Washington for fighting terror in that country for use against India.

Defence Minister A. K. Antony said that he conveyed New Delhi’s sentiments on the issue while talking to US Chief of Army Staff, US Secretary of State and US National Security Advisor during his recent Washington visit. The Minister said that there are credible information against Pakistan diverting a portion of US supplied sophisticated arms for use against India.

In reply to a query, he said that relations between India and US is strengthening further. He expressed hope that the bilateral cooperation will expand in various sectors in the coming days. He was talking to reporters in New Delhi today on the sidelines of a defence ceremony.

Antony also gave away the Raksha Mantri Awards for excellence to three Defence Accounts Department Units in the country and launched three web-enabled online automation projects for the benefit of defence personnel
