Mangaldai   :  Aainul Hoque, the VDP secretary of No 1 Sialmari village under Dalgaon police station in Darrang District is stated to be absconding as police is looking for him in connection with the alleged murder attempt of the manager of Mangaldai Branch of Kanara Bank, Ananda Kumar. Bank manager Kumar was attacked allegedly in a pre planned manner with blunt iron items, brick etc at the residence of the accused in Saturday evening after being invited by later to repay the overdue amount of bank loan issued to purchase his tractor. Seriously injured bank manager was rescued by police with the help of some local student leaders in a semi conscious state. Later the victim bank manager lodged an FIR against Aainul Hoque and his family members engaged in the organized gang attack. Meanwhile talking to this reporter, Superintendent of Police, Darrang Amrit Bhuyan stated that ASP (HQ), Darrang Ujjjal Protim Baruah is supervising the case and the absconding accused will be booked very soon.
