  • Bihar showdown CM Manjhi calls cabinet meeting

    jitanramAmid reports of a leadership change in Bihar, Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi called for a cabinet meeting on Saturday, a day after he openly challenged JD(U) leadership, saying the legislature party meeting called by party president Sharad Yadav is unauthorised.

    There were reports in media that Nitish Kumar has staked claim to become the chief minister replacing Jitan Ram Manjhi.

    Manjhi has called a Legislature Party meeting in his capacity as Leader of the House on February 20 at his official residence.

    Manjhi said that right to call Legislature Party meeting rests with him as he is the leader of the Legislature party.

    BJP said that it was adopting a ‘wait and watch’ approach over the JDU infighting.

    Party leader Rameshwar Chaurasia said that people of Bihar are upset with JDU government.

    RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said that his party will support whatever decision JD(U) leadership takes.
