Launching an all-out attack on UPA 2, the BJP today accused the Government of degrading institutions like CVC, CAG and PAC.

Addressing a joint press conference with her counterpart in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitely, Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj said that the new Government will have a big challenge to restore prestige of these institutions.

Ms. Swaraj said that BJP will go before people in the coming Lok Sabha polls on the basis of performance of party’s governments in five states and its role as the principal Opposition party at the Centre.

She also expressed satisfaction over passage of Telangana and Lokpal bills.

The BJP leaders slammed the Government on the economy saying that there was a “non-performing” Government on the management of the economy.

Arun Jaitely said that the five year term of UPA rule was a wasted opportunity.
