BJP National President Amit Shah has attended a youth convention at Lakhimpur in Assam. Addressing the gathering, he said the BJP-led government is committed to the development of Assam.

He also paid tributes to the martyrs of the Pulwama attack and assured that their sacrifice would not go in vain. He said the Narendra Modi government would fight against all forms of terrorism.

Speaking at the convention, Assam Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal stressed that good works of the Narendra Modi government must be spread at grass root level. Senior Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma hoped that the BJP would show a good result in the state in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.
