Curfew continues in Jammu for the third day today. The curfew was imposed on Friday after protests rocked the city over the Pulwama attack. Deputy Commissioner Ramesh Kumar said authorities were monitoring the situation and a decision to relax the curfew would be taken later in the day.

Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik has directed the Police to take strict action against those indulging in violence, arson or rumour mongering, irrespective of political and religious affiliations. The Governor asked all political parties to appeal to people to maintain peace and harmony.

The Governor stated that the situation in Jammu has been restored back to almost normal and it should be our collective endeavour to maintain this. The Governor also appealed to the people to maintain peace and communal harmony.
