Guwahati:   Following the Karbi Anglong lynching incident, situation is tense across different parts of Assam. In Nagaon, hundreds of local youth have allegedly stopped all buses going towards Karbi Anglong besides asking people from a particular community to immediately vacate the region. According to sources, some of these youth have also approached local hostels asking the owners not to let people from a particular community stay in their hostels. A Facebook Live Video has also emerged that shows a group of youth approaching bus stands and hostels targeting people from the particular community.Speaking to media, representatives from a student organization of the particular community stated that some unidentified youth have approached them and asked them to leave their hostels and go back to Karbi Anglong. They further stated that many students of the particular community have already left for their homes in Karbi Anglong.Meanwhile, Nagaon SP Shankar Raimedhi said that investigation will be done to find out the identity of those who have threatened the people from the particular community. No one can take law in their own hands,” said the SP.
